Tri-City Christian Academy was founded in 1971 as a ministry of Tri-City Baptist Church. Initially established in Tempe, Arizona, the campus moved to Chandler, Arizona in 2009.  The first graduating class was in 1974, and today, TCA has seen over 1,000 students receive their diplomas.  Since its inception, TCA has sought to offer a comprehensive and well-rounded curriculum while integrating God’s truth into individual subjects daily.  The school’s mission is to emphasize Christ-centered educational excellence while striving to assist parents in cultivating Christ-like young people–spiritually, academically, physically, and socially.

Tri-City Christian Academy is an accredited K-12 school through the American Association of Christian Schools (AACS) and offers dual enrollment classes through Arizona Christian University and Maranatha Baptist University.  TCA is small enough to be a family but big enough to offer extracurricular activities to stretch each student wherever their talents lie. We offer a well-rounded education that is integral to a student’s education, including choir, band, drama, art, foreign language, computer classes, and physical education.  Over 75% of our teachers have a Master’s Degree.  Most TCA graduates continue their education after high school in either college, trade schools, or the military, with many receiving scholarships.

Another area where TCA excels is in our athletic opportunities.  We offer a wide range of sports to complement the academic realm with fifteen teams between junior high, junior varsity, and varsity level sports.  We compete against schools all over Arizona in the Canyon Athletic Association (CAA).  Our teams include a three-time back-to-back championship varsity boys’ basketball team, junior high boys’ and girls’ basketball, junior varsity boys’ basketball, varsity girls’ basketball, junior high and varsity girls’ volleyball, varsity boys’ and girls’ soccer, co-ed junior high soccer, junior high boys flag football, varsity boy’s baseball, and varsity girls cheerleading.

Our TCA families and teachers are invested in the school and the ministry of Tri-City Baptist Church.  “Christian” isn’t just part of the name; it’s at the center of everything we do. We have had third-generation graduates, families move back to the area so their kids can attend TCA, students graduate from college and come back to teach here, and we have one teacher who has been here for over 40 years!
